Your vacation is an investment of time and money. Worry-Free Vacations, in conjunction with Trip Mate, the foremost provider of travel protection plans and travel insurance, assure your investment, yourself, and your family are protected by offering a Travel Protection Plan and Travel Protection Plan PLUS, with price protection.


1. Travel Protection Plan

Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation

  • The standard coverage of the Travel Protection Plan, protects the cost of your vacation and protects you from most cancellation penalties and other non-refundable items. Also, you can cancel for any reason not covered by the travel insurance plan provisions and have peace of mind knowing that your travel investment is protected. The form of refund may vary depending on the reason for which you cancel. Customers must cancel before scheduled departure and file a claim. Refunds are distributed in applicable forms of payment depending on the claim. Instructions on how to file a claim will be provided in your travel documents. The chart below highlights some examples of this benefit.
  • The hurricane coverage of the Travel Protection Plan protects the cost of your vacation and protects you from most cancellation penalties if your destination is under a hurricane, watch or warning, as declared by the National Hurricane Center (NHC). You can cancel your vacation up to the moment of departure and have peace of mind knowing that your travel investment is protected.
Post-Departure Coverage
In addition to Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation, the plan includes other benefits to protect travelers from the unexpected during their vacation, such as:
  • Medical and emergency assistance — includes benefits up to $25,000 for medical expenses, emergency medical transportation. and 24-hour emergency assistance service for illness or injury during the trip.
  • Post departure trip interruption — covers travelers up to the original cost of their trip when they must interrupt their trip or return home early for covered reasons, such as sickness, injury, or other covered reasons.
  • Travel delay — pays up to $100 per day for meals and accommodations when travelers are delayed on their trip for 12 hours or more.
  • Baggage delay — reimburses you up to $250 for clothing and personal items if your luggage is delayed more than 24 hours.
  • Loss or damage to baggage or personal effects — covers up to $2,500 for loss or damage to baggage or personal effects that occur during the trip.

  • Certain restrictions apply to groups booked with our Group Department.
  • Certain items may not be refundable, such as penalties associated with show or event tickets, theme park passes, etc.

2. Travel Protection Plan PLUS

The Travel Protection Plan PLUS includes all the benefits of the Travel Protection Plan, plus the lowest price guarantee. If Worry-Free Vacations advertises an identical vacation at a lower price, for the same departure date and flight, Worry-Free Vacations can guarantee that price. The advertised vacation must be available and include the same air components, hotel and room category, and any other previously purchased components, including the Travel Protection Plan PLUS. Refunds for the difference in the package price will be issued to the original form of payment. Travel Protection Plan PLUS Request Process and Terms and Conditions

To request price protection 10 days or more before departure:

  • Create a new reservation with lower price and place on hold.
    Note: Some reservations may require confirmation with a credit card.
  • Contact Worry-Free Vacations at 1-888-225-5658, 7:00am - 11:00pm CST.
  • If the new reservation qualifies, the travelers will receive confirmation of the new reservation at the adjusted price. Previous reservation will be refunded to the original form of payment.

To request price protection within 10 days of departure:

  • Create a new reservation and confirm with credit card.
  • Contact Worry-Free Vacations at 1-888-225-5658, 7:00am - 11:00pm CST.
  • If the new reservation qualifies, the travelers will receive confirmation of the new reservation at the adjusted price. Previous reservation will be refunded to the original form of payment.

Travel Protection Plan PLUS terms and conditions

  • Price protection is on the total package price, not component to component.
  • All components must be available at the time of the new reservation.
  • Price protection must be on the exact same vacation package including the same dates, air components, hotel and room category, and any other previously purchased components, including the Travel Protection Plan PLUS.
  • Price protection may be exercised up to the time of departure.
  • Promotional codes applied to the original reservation must be valid at the time of the price protection request to maintain promotional code discount. If the promotional code is no longer valid, a new promotional code can be applied, as long as all terms and conditions are met.
  • Does not apply to group reservations.
  • Refund will be issued to the original form of payment.
  • Price protection cannot be purchased alone and is only available through the Travel Protection Plan PLUS program.
  • MLT Vacations is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules and reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without prior notice.
