Note: Not all cars are available in all destinations.

• Major credit card - American Express, Mastercard, Visa A $1000 authorization will be placed on credit card upon rental of vehicle. This authorization amount may be used toward damage or late charges in the event vehicle is returned with damage and insurance provisions are violated and/or late charges are assessed.
• Alamo will not accept debit cards
• Passport and Return Ticket

• Minimum rental age is 21 years
• Maximum rental age is 75 years
• There is an additional charge of $20 per day for each driver under the age of 25 payable directly to Alamo at time of rental
• Costs are subject to change

• Unlimited mileage
• V.A.T. (Value Added Tax for the number of days originally booked)
• CDW/TP Insurance - Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection. This is a combination product that also includes $50,000 Liability Insurance Coverage (PLI) and Coverage (PAI). Renter is not liable for a deductible.

• Unlimited mileage

Airport Fees of 10% are not included in the rental charges. Renters are responsible to pay these charges directly to Alamo.

Not Included:

• Gas. Pick up and return full or surcharge of 40% will apply
• Additional hourly or drop charges
• Additional driver, young driver fees or other fees which may be imposed

Deposit:

• A $1000 authorization will be placed on credit card upon rental of vehicle. This authorization amount may be used toward damage or late charges in the event vehicle is returned with damage and insurance was not purchased and/or later charges were assessed.

• Rates are based on 24 hour clock.
• If car is rented beyond the 24 hour period, the hourly charge applies until the hourly charge equals the daily rate.
• Alamo allows a 59 minute grace period.
• Maximum rental is 28 days. If passenger wants car for more than 28 days book 2 separate options.
• Passenger must return car at 28 days or before to any Alamo location and exchange it for a new vehicle. An Alamo rule.

All renters are subject to a license check. Renters are deemed eligible or ineligible to rent from Alamo at the time of rental. Under the policy's guidelines, eligibility will be based on two categories:

• Alamo will not turn someone away due to a ticket for a seatbelt violation.
• The status of the driver's license - renters will be rejected if their driver's license is suspended, revoked, expired, invalid, surrendered, or nonexistant
• The status of the driving record - renters will be rejected for any of the following:
  A. Two or more convictions within the last 36 months for moving traffic violations involving accidents.
  B. Three or more convictions within the last 36 months for moving violations.
  C. One or more convictions within the last 36 months for DUI, DWI, or DWAI - or other similar designation.
  D. One or more convictions within the last 36 months for leaving the scene of an accident or failure to report an accident.
  E. One or more convictions within the last 36 months for possession of a stolen vehicle or use of a vehicle in the commission of a crime.
  

• This check will be made during the rental transaction and should take less than 10 seconds.

Included for the days rented directly through us are:

CDW/TP Insurance (Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection):

• This is a combination product that also includes $50,000 Liability Insurance Coverage (PLI) and $10,000 Personal Accident Insurance Coverage (PAI). Renter is not liable for a deductible. Note: CDW/TP does not waive responsibility of damage or loss of equipment (including for example side mirror, hub caps, tires, gas cap, car jack, radio, license plate or seats).

Note: Renter MUST fill out an accident/incident report otherwise insurance and decuctible protection becomes null and void.


IMPORTANT - The coverage will not apply if:

• The rental car is driven and an accident occurs while the driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The renter will be fully responsible.
• The rental car is driven on unpaved, undeveloped areas and damage to the vehicle results. The renter will be fully responsible.

• There is a $5.00 USD per-day charge for each additional driver payable directly to Alamo at time of rental.

• There is no "Cash Qualifying" for car rental in Mexico
• Drivers must have a major credit card in their name - American Express, Mastercard, Visa or Diners Club. Diners Club is not accepted in Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan.
• Debit cards will not be accepted.
• A print out of the card is required by Alamo for insurance purposes.

• Hand Controls and Van Lifts are not presently available in Mexico.

• There are no regulations requiring car seats in Mexico.
• All passengers are required to have a seatbelt.
• It is strongly suggested and MLT encourages passengers to bring car seats for their children as there is no guarantee that the renting location will have car seats available.
• Presently Cancun and Los Cabos carry car seats in very limited supply.
• If available at counter a $5 per day fee with $50 deposit will apply.
• Costs are subject to change.

• Local Value Added Tax is included in the package price.
