Travel Hurricane-Free with Worry-Free Vacations

(EDINA, Minn., June 1, 2009) — With hurricane season just around the corner, Worry-Free Vacations is reintroducing the company’s hurricane travel policy, expanded to include any departure city or destination impacted by a hurricane watch or warning.

In the event that a hurricane watch (or warning) is issued by the United States National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) for a traveler’s departure city or destination, Worry-Free Vacations customers will have the following options in addition to normal cancellation rules:

Rebook their vacation without penalty to another Worry-Free Vacations destination and depart within seven days before or after original departure date.
Cancel their vacation and receive a gift card refund, valid for booking another destination within 60 days. A $50 per person service fee will be assessed.

Travelers must cancel their existing booking before their scheduled departure date and time. It will be the travelers’ responsibility to pay the difference if the rebooked vacation costs more than the original vacation; Worry-Free Vacations will issue a gift card valid for one year for the difference if the rebooked vacation costs less than the original vacation.

“Our Worry-Free Vacations travelers can book with confidence, knowing they will have an opportunity to change their travel dates or destination if the weather is not cooperating,” said Ken Pomerantz, president and chief marketing officer for Worry-Free Vacations. “And when they do go on vacation, wherever they decide to go, they are sure to have a great time.”

Worry-Free Vacations also offers extra hurricane protection with the purchase of the Travel Protection Plan: Travelers may cancel their trip up to the moment of departure and receive a full refund in the form of a gift card if their destination is under a hurricane watch or warning as declared by the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov). The plan also includes medical expense coverage and emergency assistance; coverage for trip cancellation, interruption or delay; coverage for luggage loss, damage or delay; and a “cancel for any reason” waiver, which provides the option to cancel a trip up to the moment of departure for any other reason.

Travel Insurance From Worry-Free Vacations Is Expanded To Cover Job Loss

Tour operator further enriches travel insurance program by offering cash back options to those who cancel due to job loss.

(EDINA, Minn., May 26, 2009) — Today Worry-Free Vacations® announced that it has updated its popular Travel Protection Plans, which will now offer travelers job loss protection with cash back options.

Customers can now purchase the Travel Protection Plan or Travel Protection Plan PLUS with an included job loss provision. This new benefit is being added to the program at no additional cost for the Travel Protection Plan and can be secured with just a deposit.

“In these uncertain times, our travel insurance now gives travelers additional peace of mind by offering the customer cash back if they lose their job and protecting their travel investment,” said Ken Pomerantz, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Worry-Free Vacations. “These plans are some of the most comprehensive plans available, and those who have the Travel Protection Plan or Travel Protection Plan PLUS can relax about putting summer vacation plan on hold.”

For those purchasing TPP, coverage against job loss includes cash-back protection for the traveler and those on the booking who are an immediate family member or companion staying in the same room. It also includes a voucher option for other travelers on the same booking. That way, if one person loses their job, the rest of the party will not be forced to travel without that person or lose money.

In order to be reimbursed under the job loss provision, the involuntary job termination must occur 30 days or more after the purchase of a Travel Protection Plan. Also, the same employer must have continuously employed the insured person for at least two years.

Influenza Policy - Updated 5/1/09

In response to the recent news of an influenza outbreak, Worry-Free Vacations is providing the following options for customers traveling to Mexico between April 27 – June 15, 2009:

Customers who have purchased Travel Protection may cancel their trip up to the moment of departure. Customers will receive a full refund in the form of a travel voucher valid for one year from the date of issue.
Customers without Travel Protection have the following options:
1. Receive a refund less normal cancel fees.
2. Rebook without penalty to another destination for departure within 21 days before or after the original departure date.
3. Cancel and receive a refund, in the form of a travel voucher, good for booking another destination within 60 days, for travel anytime. A $50 per person service fee will be assessed.

Terms and Conditions:
Customers must cancel the existing booking before the scheduled departure date and time. Changes to vacation itineraries may result in a difference in price. Any price increase will be the responsibility of the customer; any price decrease will be refunded in the form of a travel voucher. This policy does not apply to group travel customers.
