Worry-Free Vacations Hurricane Policy Offers Peace of Mind To Travelers

June 11, 2010 – With hurricane season just around the corner, Worry-Free Vacations today reintroduced their hurricane travel policy, which includes any departure city and any destination impacted by a hurricane watch or warning.

In the event that a hurricane watch (or warning) is issued by the United States National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) for a traveler's departure city or destination, Worry-Free Vacations customers will have the following options in addition to normal cancellation rules:

Rebook their vacation without penalty to another Worry-Free Vacations destination and depart within seven days before or after original departure date.

Cancel their vacation and receive a Worry-Free Vacations gift card refund, valid for booking another destination within 60 days for travel anytime, based on availability. A $50 per person service fee will be assessed.

Worry-Free Vacations also offers extra hurricane protection with the purchase of a Travel Protection Plan (TPP) or Travel Protection Plan Plus (TPP+). With the purchase of TPP or TPP+, travelers may cancel their trip up to the moment of departure and receive a full refund in the form of a Worry-Free Vacations gift card if their destination is under a hurricane watch or warning as declared by the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov). The plan also includes medical expense coverage and emergency assistance; coverage for trip cancellation, interruption or delay; coverage for luggage loss, damage or delay; and a "cancel for any reason" waiver, which provides the option to cancel a trip up to the moment of departure for any other reason.

To check the United States National Hurricane center's website visit www.nhc.noaa.gov. For more information about the hurricane policy or Travel Protection Plan call 1-888-225-5658 or contact a travel agent.
